Abstract

Through the use of the social research method called Case Study of the Multiple Cases type, the factors and variables implicit in the brand "Ibagué Capital Musical" are inquired, as well as its relevance since its creation in 2010 to date, regarding the current planning of the territory and local development in the city of Ibagué, Tolima Department, Colombia, from the focus of the creative industries and city marketing. As the main product of this research, a baseline is proposed to serve as an input to the administration and the municipal council, in the rethinking of public policy on competitiveness in the city regarding tourism, creative industries and territorial branding.
