The purpose of this article is to communicate the results of a doctoral thesis, within the framework of the Ph.D. Course in Higher Education Policy and Management of the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF), entitled "Configuration of the teacher training system of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica, and South Atlantic Islands, from its provincialization in 1991 to the year 2020”; attending to the continuities and changes within the cycle of provincial educational policies”. From the analysis of individual interviews, focus groups, as well as federal, national, and provincial regulations, the configuration of the Fuegian teacher training system is described during the period studied, based on the paradigm of complexity in correspondence with the genealogical and sociohistorical perspectives. The results reveal an archipelagic training system in the process of reconfiguration with capacities learned by the institutes that comprise it, which position it in a complex field of possibilities.
